The Red Fort, also known as Lal Qila, is significant in Delhi, India’s Old Delhi region. It was once the Mughal emperors’ primary residence. On May 12, 1638, Emperor Shah Jahan ordered the Red Fort to be built. Originally red and white, architect Ustad Ahmad Lahori is credited with creating it.
