About: Rajaji National Park is an Indian national park and tiger reserve that encompasses the Shivaliks, near the foothills of the Himalayas. The Park includes three districts of Uttarakhand: Haridwar, Dehradun and Pauri Garhwal. In 1983, three wildlife sanctuaries in the area namely, Chilla, Motichur and Rajaji were merged into one. Rajaji is a magnificent ecosystem nestled in the Shivalik ranges at the start of the vast Indo–Gangetic plains, thus representing vegetation of several distinct zones and forest types.This area is the north-western limit of Asian elephants.
