About: The Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP) is a national park in India, located in Kullu region in the state of Himachal Pradesh. More than 375 species of animals, including about 31 mammals, 181 birds, 3 reptiles, 9 amphibians, 11 annelids, 17 mollusks, and 127 insects, may be found in the Great Himalayan National Park. The Indomalayan and Palearctic biogeographic worlds, which meet at the GHNP, are the two largest biogeographic regions in the world. The Sino-Japanese Region’s westernmost extent is represented by the temperate forest flora and fauna of GHNP. The surrounding Western and Central Asian regions share shared plant features with the high elevation ecology of the Northwest Himalaya.
