About: This 24 km National Park was once the private property of the King of Vansda. It is known for its lush green forests and abundance of wildlife. It was established in 1985 to protect the unique biodiversity within it and to promote tourism-related activities. The park covers an area of about 200 sq km and is home to a variety of animal species, such as leopards, tigers, bears, sloth bears, wild boars, langurs, jackals, and more. It also boasts a wide variety of flora including sal trees and bamboo thickets. The park has several tourist spots such as the Van Vihar Nature Interpretation Centre which provides an insight into the history and culture of this region along with its natural beauty.
